✅ Job Requirements – Ground Crew
We’re looking for individuals who are hardworking, dependable, and ready to grow within a team. You don’t need to know everything about tree work on Day One—but you do need to bring a strong work ethic, a teachable mindset, and respect for the safety and professionalism this industry demands.
Must-Haves:
- Previous Experience in the tree service industry
- Valid Driver’s License: Reliable transportation to and from the shop or job sites
- Physical Fitness: Able to lift 50+ lbs, work outdoors in all weather, and handle repetitive manual tasks
- Work Ethic: Shows up on time, every time—with a positive attitude
- Coachability: Open to feedback, eager to learn, and willing to follow instructions
- Team Player Mentality: Works well with others, contributes to a respectful jobsite culture
- Professionalism: Clean appearance, appropriate language, and pride in representing the Longtree brand
Bonus Points (Preferred but not required):
- CDL Certification (Class B or higher)
- Familiarity with equipment like chippers, chainsaws, or stump grinders
- Interest in growing into a climber or crew lead role over time
- First Aid/CPR or other safety certifications
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
🌟 What You’ll Be Doing
As a member of our Ground Crew, you’ll play a vital role in executing tree care services safely, efficiently, and professionally—while learning and growing in your career every day.
🌱 Daily Operations
- Assist with jobsite setup and tool preparation each morning
- Support climbers and crew leads in executing daily project goals
- Clean up debris and maintain a safe, organized jobsite
- Attend daily crew meetings to review scope and expectations
- Represent Longtree professionally with proper attire and customer etiquette
🔐 Safety & Site Awareness
- Adhere to all local and company safety protocols
- Participate in daily hazard assessments and safety briefings
- Maintain all tools and equipment in safe, working condition
- Wear all required PPE (steel-toe boots, hard hats, etc.) at all times
📲 Communication & Documentation
- Log hours accurately in time-tracking system
- Complete all required safety paperwork (JSA, assessments)
- Refer client inquiries to Crew Lead professionally
Attend required staff meetings and trainings
